Active promotion of daily cycling and a bike repair workshop

Cycles et Manivelles is a nonprofit association under the French Law of 1901, founded in 2013 by a group of cycling enthusiasts. Its primary mission is to actively promote everyday cycling and, more broadly, sustainable mobility.

Our Activities

Cycles & Manivelles organizes a variety of activities. These take place at the Maison du Vélo et des Mobilités or off-site!

The participatory bike workshop: fix your own bike. To help you, we provide on-site:

• guidance from mechanic instructors
• the right tools
• used parts

From fixing a flat tire to adjusting the derailleur or restoring an old bike, our mechanic instructors will guide you through diagnosing and repairing your bike. You’ll use shared tools and used parts at low prices

Bike
salvage: Bikes can be repaired to ride again or taken apart to recover spare parts that will be reused on other bikes.  
La Maison du Vélo et des Mobilités is, therefore, a kind of recycling center specifically dedicated to bicycles.
You can drop off “wrecks”—bicycles that have been abandoned or are gathering dust somewhere—as well as spare parts so they can be reused (to get them back on the road).

Adult Bike
School: We invite you to try out and/or borrow our utility and specialty bikes: cargo trikes, cargo bikes, folding bikes, tandems, touring bikes, bike carts, and other trailers.
This way, you can test out a different mode of transportation for free over a few days, get a feel for it, and decide whether or not this is the mode of transportation for you!
