Noailles Recycling Center

La Brigaille is the nonprofit organization that runs the Noailles Resource Center!

A space for the exchange of objects, knowledge, and practices.

Here you’ll find:

• A CHARITY SHOP: All kinds of secondhand items at low prices!
• A SOCIAL SPACE: Sit down, chat, and spend time together.
• DONATION DROPOFFS: Bring in whatever you’d like to give away—clothing, books, furniture, tools, curiosities…—during opening hours, or ask us to pick them up from your home. Just write to us, and we’ll make arrangements!
• WORKSHOPS: To learn, repair, repurpose, and create.
• REUSE AND RECYCLING: Giving new life to all kinds of items and objects.

Workshops are also organized with other local organizations, such as the Destination Famille community center, during school breaks.

This year, for example, mask-making workshops were offered around Carnival time using materials salvaged from the resource center.

A sewing and textile repair service is set to launch soon. “Textiles are a major environmental issue,” emphasizes Lola, who sees large quantities of donated clothing come through every week.

The association also works with several recycling networks to minimize the amount of waste that ends up in landfills. Items that are too damaged are taken apart, sorted, and then sent to eco-organizations specializing in textiles, metals, or furniture.

FOR THE PAST 3 YEARS, we’ve been organizing neighborhood events: neighborhood festivals, Christmas parties, and celebrations for both rain and sunshine!
