The Gard Third Places Network brings together a group of "hybrid" spaces

The network of third places and hybrid spaces in the Gard brings together a group of “hybrid” spaces located throughout the Gard department (30).

Beyond “third places” as they are typically defined, the network aims to bring together the region’s “non-traditional” spaces—organizations that, for the most part, fall outside institutional norms due to the diversity of their missions and the varied audiences they serve.

These are places that work within and for their local communities, alongside and for the residents, driven by a spirit of public interest and cooperation.

• cultural hubs,
• maker spaces and other fablabs,
• coworking spaces,
• sociocultural spaces,
• alternative spaces for artistic creation and presentation… All of these initiatives contribute to the vitality of the region by focusing on innovation, sharing, and the participation of everyone.

OUR MISSIONS

• To facilitate the network, bring together stakeholders, and encourage the exchange of practices and knowledge through dedicated sessions focused on collective intelligence and through opportunities for social interaction.
• Support, guide, and equip project leaders
• Highlight the practices, venues, and teams driving these hybrid projects through various tools
• Promote the sharing of skills and resources among stakeholders
• Encourage collaboration
