Thrift Store in the Var Department

Founded in 2012, the nonprofit organization La Courtoise Ressourcerie is a job-training program that repurposes items by giving them a second life, while creating jobs and helping the environment.

The items we refurbish are collected during house clearances, bulky waste pickups, or through donations from individuals. These items also come from partnerships with businesses in the Provence Verte region that donate their unsold inventory to us. Once refurbished, these items are sold in our shops

To date, the association has 10 workshops—IT, bicycles, woodworking, culture, mechanics, hi-fi, large and small appliances, cleaning, handling, and sales (in-store and online)

Thanks to the diversity of our workshops, you can find the following in our stores:

- Home goods (furniture, small and large appliances, dishes, home decor, lighting, etc.),

-Leisure and cultural items (books, CDs, DVDs, vinyl records, computer and hi-fi equipment, toys, sporting goods, bicycles…),

-Household goods (tools, gardening supplies, storage solutions, odds and ends

In short, shopping at La Courtoise Ressourcerie means:

-Buying secondhand items that have been sorted, repaired, and cleaned by professionals in a job-training program at low prices.

-Reducing waste and conserving resources that would otherwise be used to create new goods.

-Supporting job creation and the association’s operations

OUR SERVICES

Drop-off

Individuals can drop off their donations at our facility, at the designated drop-off areas: Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. and from 1:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m., and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. and from 2 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Bulky Item Collection

The recycling center has set up a bulky item collection service across the 27 municipalities of Provence Verte. This service is free and limited to 1 ^{cubic meter} per person per visit.

By appointment Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and from 1:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Household Cleanouts

If you’d like to declutter your home, a home clearance service is available to individuals. The cost of the clearance will be assessed during the preliminary visit, based on the condition of the bulky items

- La Courtoise Ressourcerie has just joined the Emmaüs Label, France’s leading e-commerce site whose catalog is exclusively stocked by members of the Emmaüs movement and its partners in the social and solidarity economy (SSE).
