Le P’tit Moutas is a community-run café located in Sagriès, near Uzès in the Gard department.
It is run by a handful of volunteer villagers who have made it their mission to promote a sense of community and togetherness in Sanilhac-Sagriès.
On the agenda: coffee, a bread drop-off, occasional or more regular events… All the details are in the calendar!
VALUES
When the “Un lieu à Sagriès” association was founded—even before we found a use for the space that would become the café—we felt it was important to come together around shared values: living well together, solidarity, kindness, a welcoming atmosphere, mutual support, inclusion, and intergenerational connection.
That’s why the café is open to everyone, regardless of age, income, background, religion, or anything else that might divide us rather than bring us together.
Membership fees and drinks (except during special events) are pay-what-you-can to ensure that cost does not deter people from visiting.
We are working to ensure accessibility for people with limited mobility.
Finally, whenever possible, we strive to offer products that are as local and seasonal as possible and to be mindful of our environmental footprint.
HOW WE OPERATE
Le P’tit Moutas is managed by a nonprofit organization under the French Law of 1901, with a General Assembly, a Board of Directors, and an executive committee.
You must be a member of the association to patronize the café (we do not have a liquor license and are therefore considered a private venue reserved for members).
There are two membership options (you’ll choose one when you fill out your registration form):
