About Us

AMOS, a non-profit organization under the French Law of 1901, has been a social enterprise since 1994. It collects secondhand clothing, linens, and shoes in the Bordeaux metropolitan area, sorts them in Mérignac, and resells them at its various retail locations—all donated free of charge by its supporters.

AMOS is made up of 40 people: employees in vocational integration programs, permanent staff, and volunteers. Together, they work to promote solidarity and reuse at the local level and are fully engaged in the circular economy and sustainable development.

Since 1994, AMOS has been a professional integration association specializing in textile recycling and community-based secondhand clothing stores. Our economic integration program (IAE) supports people in need in their journey back to sustainable employment.

Our social and solidarity economy model is based on reuse: the sale of secondhand clothing, shoes, accessories, home decor, and toys in our solidarity shops directly funds our mission of professional integration.

Every year, AMOS collects 250 tons of reusable clothing and textiles in the Bordeaux metropolitan area. 

Two employees visit our 35 collection points every week to receive your donations and transport them to our sorting center in Bordeaux.
