OUR ACTIONS
Naturalist
Expertise Each year, we conduct scientific monitoring of flora and fauna across the Lyon metropolitan area, focusing on saproxylic beetles, butterflies, urban brownfield flora, and river biodiversity.
This data collection, carried out in close collaboration with public institutions, helps enrich the inventory of local biodiversity, identify species facing significant conservation challenges, assess the impact of site development and maintenance practices, and share this knowledge with officials, technicians, managers, and the general public.
Participatory Projects and Experiments
Urban spaces are brimming with potential to support biodiversity, and every corner of the city can become a refuge. The association invites everyone to get involved by participating in participatory projects: greening building facades, creating ponds, planting hedges…
We transform streets, hospitals, riverbanks, apartment complexes, and gardens into true testing grounds for biodiversity and the well-being of all. Thanks to our small neighborhood nursery, we support these projects from start to finish, mobilizing residents and local stakeholders.
Raising Awareness and Inspiring Wonder in Residents
Throughout the year, we invite residents to discover the biodiversity around them through a wide variety of activities: outings, workshops, participatory inventories, lectures, and videos. Free and open to everyone upon membership, these activities not only help people learn more about urban biodiversity but also bring people together to take concrete action for its preservation.
