A free, impartial advisory service on water and energy conservation, energy-efficient renovations, and transportation

The Montpellier Métropole Local Energy and Climate Agency (ALEC) is a recognized public interest organization. It advises and supports individuals, local governments, and businesses on issues related to renovation, energy, and water.

ALEC aims to change habits and mindsets regarding consumption, housing, and transportation.

The mission: 

ALEC works on:

· the renovation of housing, public buildings, and offices

· energy efficiency and conservation (reducing consumption and bills, choosing energy-efficient materials),

· renewable energy (solar, wood, geothermal, etc.),

· water conservation,

· air quality,

· the fight against global warming.

To this end, ALEC implements several types of initiatives:

· sharing of technical and legal information

· technical and financial advice

· events (conferences, visits, hands-on workshops, etc.)

· training

· project support.
