The TETRIS association works to promote ecological and social transition by developing innovative projects focused on sustainable food and agriculture, biodiversity, and environmental education. Through concrete actions such as eco-grazing, the creation of a forest garden, and support for agricultural project leaders, TETRIS fosters collective dynamics and the adaptation of the region to climate challenges
Our vision
The goal is to create a space for experimentation and citizen engagement around an “urban-rural” farm project in a rural setting, to enable the production of local products in shared gardens or even fields, and the processing and promotion of these products through the transfer of know-how.
This is a project that aims to raise awareness and support an agroecological transition and healthy, local food through a series ofeducational events and workshops for agriculture that is more respectful of how ecosystems function and nature’s cycles, and for a region that is more resilient to climate change.
The
Global changes that require action in the face of these pressing issues make it imperative to rethink our relationship with the land and to promote more sustainable practices in land use planning and agriculture. Within the Occitanie region, a land of exceptional biological diversity, complex challenges related to environmental and climate change are emerging. Over the decades, urbanization has expanded, absorbing thousands of hectares of natural, agricultural, and forested land. In the face of these pressing issues, it is imperative to rethink our relationship with the land and to promote more
sustainable practices in land use planning and agriculture.
Our missions
To provide a dedicated space that channels all the energy and synergy of citizens to offer long-term activities and events, advice, and living spaces for everyone.
Raise awareness and take action for the ecological transition through citizen-led and solidarity-based initiatives.
As a model of urban agriculture, the association must, through collective effort, raise awareness about soil and biodiversity conservation, as well as more environmentally friendly farming techniques (from vegetable gardens to fields), and better adapted to climate change. The goal is to address these challenges by strengthening dialogue and connections among stakeholders of different generations, backgrounds, and cultures, and to promote local and healthy agriculture and food.
