Environmental Education Association, offering stays at a guesthouse

Founded in 1995, the Maison de la Nature et de l’Environnement 65 is an environmental education association whose goals are to raise awareness of, understand, and promote the environment in which human activities take place.  MNE 65 carries out its work through several initiatives.

MISSIONS 

Awareness

Addresses topics such as biodiversity, food, health, and the environment through public engagements, informative and educational materials, and various projects.  It shares and promotes knowledge, practices, and actions related to the energy and ecological transition.

Arbre & Paysage 65 (AP 65)

Provides support for the planting of hedges composed of local species, natural regeneration, and agroforestry projects.  It conducts an inventory of remarkable trees and pollarded trees in the Hautes-Pyrénées, as well as awareness-raising initiatives regarding trees outside forests, their management, and their maintenance.

Supporting local communities

Establishes local initiatives with various stakeholders and citizens on all topics developed by MNE 65.

The gîte

On the MNE 65 site, you will find a guesthouse: “La Ferranderie.”  This house, a fully renovated traditional Bigourdane building, can accommodate a large family, an association, a group of friends, or a company; our guesthouse offers spacious and comfortable lodging for stays in complete peace and simplicity.

Available as full-board or self-catering, the cottage also features a dining area. We place a strong emphasis on energy conservation, reducing food waste, and proper waste sorting.
