The Agroecology Campus is an association that offers project leaders in-person training on how to set up small-scale (less than 1 hectare) agroecological vegetable micro-farms
The organization’s mission is to actively participate in the ecological transition of mountain agriculture in the Upper Adour Valley region of the Hautes-Pyrénées.
The association has four objectives:
1- To promote and disseminate agroecological techniques in field crops, vegetable farming, arboriculture, and livestock farming in our region
2- Support individual gardeners, farmers wishing to change their practices, and project leaders looking to establish agroecological operations (micro-farms),
3- Enable people in precarious situations to have access to healthy, fresh, and local food at an affordable price
4- Contribute to the establishment, development, and dissemination of local crops and seeds in the Haut-Adour region.
It has two areas of focus
1- The volunteer sector, which relies on the volunteer work of active members who participate in market gardening activities
2- 2- The professional sector, which enables the association to engage in economic activity and to hire staff, sell its produce, and organize training in agroecology
Training: We offer non-degree training courses open to all audiences, including farmers, individuals with agroecological projects, and project leaders looking to set up mixed-crop and livestock micro-farms.
