Description

"Ma Bibliothèque d’Objets" is a project of the non-profit association "Les Passeurs," established under the French Law of 1901.

The association is based in Toulouse. It was founded in 2021 to develop the My Object Library project.

Its mission? To show that things can be done differently! To support individual and collective changes to inspire more sustainable consumption patterns, in line with the challenges of the ecological transition. To show that not buying is practical, economical, and fun.

Its principles? Pooling resources to avoid unnecessary purchases of items that households need only very occasionally.

The expected impacts? Improving residents’ quality of life by providing access to knowledge and equipment, as well as to new activities.
Encouraging positive changes in behavior.

Tired of accumulating items you only use once a year?

My Object Library has the solution: borrow a variety of items and make your dreams come true, all while saving money.  Browse and reserve online. Choose the nearby partner location where you’ll pick up your item. Let the projects begin! New items are added to the catalog every month. So join the movement too!

At Ma Bibliothèque d’Objets, we believe that offering items to borrow is good, but that enabling people to meet, learn, and share their knowledge is even better! We offer awareness-raising workshops and hands-on workshops for everyone, whether you’re coming alone or in a group.

We offer:

  • Repair workshops (textiles, small appliances, bicycles…)
  • Zero-waste workshops (making reusable sponges, bee wraps, etc.)
  • Workshops to discover and learn how to use items from the loan catalog.
