Description

LA RECYCLERIE VAR EST & ATELIERS DE MAMY BLUE. Above all, these are eco-friendly, practical, people-oriented, and community-friendly initiatives! Reduce waste.  Buying secondhand and repairing items is also common sense and "smart" consumption.

The association is committed to the ecological transition by promoting the reduction of (non-hazardous) waste through recycling initiatives, to limit the environmental impact of landfilling in the Var.  Objects, furniture, household waste, and materials are collected, processed, recycled, and repurposed for reuse.

Employing innovative waste management, collecting goods, products, or materials, and repurposing them to extend their initial useful life. Or dismantling them to separate components and materials that can be returned to a new production cycle.

The association collects, before they are thrown away, furniture or so-called "bulky" items, materials such as pallets, paint, fabric, miscellaneous items, bicycles, paintings, books, toys, etc.  The association collects everything that individuals need to discard, except for electrical equipment.
These items or materials are intended for reuse by offering them at charity sales or as donations

Awareness-raising and informational activities are carried out among the public during events.

To complement its environmental conservation efforts, the association offers eco-gardening activities, such as collecting food waste for composting.  Making items for eco-gardening, created during introductory workshops on composting and permaculture.

The recycling center offers:

  • Pallet workshops, to create objects or furniture using recycled wooden pallets
  • Makeover workshops to give old furniture a new look, restore it, and enhance its value
  • DIY workshops, such as making your own laundry detergent at home, creating children’s games from tin cans, etc.
  • Eco-sewing workshop to learn how to sew by reusing fabrics or clothing.
  • Creative workshops: Making sculptures from old pipes, paintings from recycled materials. Sometimes repurposing objects or furniture for other uses.
