Énergie Solidaire is an endowment fund that raises donations through innovative methods and distributes them to organizations working on the ground to assist households facing energy poverty.

Our Vision

Founded in 2017, Énergie Solidaire was born out of a simple observation: the energy transition should benefit everyone. Yet, far too many people are still excluded from it today due to a lack of knowledge or resources: they are in a situation of energy insecurity.

In the face of this social and environmental emergency, solutions exist, but they lack the necessary resources.

Thus, Énergie Solidaire reaches out to all individuals and businesses involved in the energy transition (producers, suppliers, consumers, local governments, etc.) to enable them to:

• Contribute to the fight against energy poverty in their region;
• Strengthen their commitment to a citizen-led and solidarity-based energy transition.

By offering all stakeholders the means to get involved and take action, Énergie Solidaire aims to bring local communities together and strengthen the capacity of organizations to reduce the number of households facing energy poverty.

What is an endowment fund?

The purpose of an endowment fund is to carry out a project or mission of public interest (beneficial to the community at a given time) or to help another nonprofit organization accomplish a project or mission of public interest by providing it with funding

More specifically, we collect donations, micro-donations based on energy consumption, and energy donations from citizens and businesses who share and support our vision of a just and solidarity-based energy transition.
