MAS originated as the MRBC association, founded in 2019 to develop the construction materials reuse sector in the Montpellier area. From the outset, we have been committed to a collaborative approach within the rapidly expanding network of construction materials reuse stakeholders, and our organization is dedicated to working at the local, regional, and national levels to pool expertise and share best practices.
In 2022, MRBC adopted the name MAS Réemploi to ensure clarity and accessibility for everyone.
Our goals are to reduce waste from demolition sites and construction projects. We are committed to building a locally rooted initiative to contribute effectively to the circular economy of construction in Montpellier and the surrounding area. Our goal is to raise awareness at all levels about the challenges of reuse to shift the paradigms of current construction practices. We believe this is how we can reduce the carbon footprint at the urban scale.
