L’Heureux Cyclage aims to promote and support the activities of “bike workshops.” Bike Workshops are defined by their active promotion of cycling based on the reuse of unused bikes and teaching bike mechanics.
As part of the bike workshop, we are open to the public on the first Wednesday of the month and by appointment. We refurbish donated bikes to resell them at rock-bottom prices. We offer assistance with bicycle maintenance by providing advice, tools, and parts. We work in partnership with local bike shops, particularly for consumables.
Every year, numerous bike repair shops open their doors. In 2003, there were only 10 bike repair shops in France, then 50 in 2010, 100 in 2013, 200 in 2016, 350 in 2021... 600 in 2024!
Inter-workshop cooperation
L’Heureux Cyclage facilitates inter-workshop cooperation: in France through meetings, local CLAVettes, the Les Voyageureuses program, the creation and availability of Wiklou, but also worldwide through international projects: for example, through an international youth exchange or a spotlight on workshops around the world!
Les Voyageuses Program: If some people were worried about breaking down in the middle of a trip, they can now rest assured! L’Heureux Cyclage has set up a system allowing a bike shop to welcome someone from another shop.
