Description

Launch of the “Pète ton Bitume” project, led by Aquacoop, Atelier POWA, Iris Chervet Architectures, and Atelier PPLV, with support from the City Hall of Paris’s 10th arrondissement.

Inspired by the “permis de végétaliser” (greening permit) introduced in 2015 by the City of Paris to allow citizens to green the base of a building, the base of a tree, or a section of sidewalk,  Pète ton bitume aims to test the conditions for implementing a “de-asphalting permit” by supporting residents and users of the 10th arrondissement in the de-mineralization of public space.

In collaboration with city services and residents, Pète ton bitume will identify sites suitable for demineralization, explore different solutions and potential uses, and take action at several selected sites.
