A cooperative that runs a network of urban, community-oriented, and sustainable third places in eastern Paris

CitéCoop is a cooperative (SCIC) founded in 2018. It is a cooperative that runs a network of third places in eastern Paris, sharing power and resources to create, manage, and promote urban, community-oriented, and sustainable third places. 

We ensure these spaces are built to last, both in terms of land use and their operations.  Our third places are designed to endure: they are part of a long-term urban planning vision and are committed to major ecological, social, and democratic transitions. 

All our leases are long-term, ranging from 10 to 25 years.  They are also designed for responsible operation: restored or built with bio-based and recycled materials, furnished with secondhand furniture, and powered by green energy. 

They welcome those who work for social and climate justice.

Our first three locations were established in the 19th arrondissement of Paris, but we plan to expand throughout the rest of eastern Île-de-France,  in Paris and neighboring municipalities, and to share our approach with other urban actors eager to replicate our economic and solidarity-based model. 

Each of our third places is specifically geared toward a particular neighborhood; although they are open to everyone, we hope that neighbors will find in us a home that serves their needs

• - Mouzaïa is located in the middle of its eponymous neighborhood and the Buttes Chaumont 
• - Volumes faces Place des Fêtes and Belleville.
