WHO ARE WE?
Founded in May 2017, La P’tite Boîte is a non-profit association organized under the French law of 1901.
The recycling center has been located in Quelarn, in the municipality of Plobannalec, since July 21, 2018. And since December 2019 in Pont-l’Abbé. We are also present at recycling centers in Combrit and Plomeur through our reuse containers.
La P’tite Boîte is a non-profit association under the French law of 1901.
Its mission is to establish and manage an innovative waste recovery and management system.
It is recognized as being of general interest due to the social nature of its activities.
OUR MISSIONS:
The role of the recycling center is to collect, recover, and sell items within a circular economy framework. Related outreach and partnership initiatives help raise awareness about eco-responsible consumption and environmental preservation.
We are a nonprofit organization. In its three dimensions—environmental, social, and economic—our project only makes sense if it is shared by as many people as possible (local governments, organizations, the general public, volunteers).
TOGETHER, WE ARE WORKING TO ADDRESS COMMON CHALLENGES:
Environmental: reusing, repurposing, repairing, and upcycling collected items to preserve natural resources while promoting the circular economy. Raising awareness of eco-friendly consumption habits.
Social and Solidarity: Foster a local and collective dynamic around the theme of waste reduction. Offer a selection of quality secondhand goods accessible to all. Provide integration initiatives for people who are far removed from the job market. Develop cooperation among various stakeholders to promote community education. Provide everyone with a space for exchange and personal growth.
Economic: create stable, non-relocatable jobs.
La P’tite Boîte offers the Objèthèque, a true “object library” accessible via an annual subscription. A stock of objects is specifically dedicated to this service, but it is also possible to borrow items available for sale. Individuals, businesses, nonprofits, and local authorities can thus take advantage of all the items in the recycling center.
Loan service: all items from the recycling center (dishes, chairs, decor, bicycles, baby gear, etc.) for a maximum period of 5 days as many times as you wish throughout the year (reservation required)
Shops: Our recycling centers are located in the heart of southern Bigouden country in Pont-l’Abbé and Plobannalec
THE CAFÉ REPAIR SHOP: Every month, our handy volunteer staff will help you try to repair your small broken appliances in a friendly atmosphere. The workshop is free and requires registration
