EcoOcéan Institut is an NGO founded in 2004 by Nathalie and Léa, two PhDs in cetology and marine ecology, with the aim of combining research and educational activities. The goal is to contribute to advancing scientific knowledge and to propose concrete, effective, and sustainable conservation measures, as well as to engage decision-makers and the general public in the conservation of marine vertebrates (cetaceans, seabirds, and sea turtles) and their habitats.
The organization collaborates with scientific teams, schools, NGOs, marine professionals, local elected officials, managers of Marine Protected Areas, and government agencies, both nationally and internationally, because “To act effectively is to act together.”
The association works to study and protect marine vertebrates and their habitats through research, expertise, training, education, and outreach to various audiences.
Convinced that effective environmental protection can only be achieved by actively raising awareness among the general public and schoolchildren, we are committed to marine environmental awareness and education initiatives to share our knowledge and encourage everyone to take action in support of this environment.
