Create a welcoming space, a place where everyone feels at home, to strengthen social bonds

The Tout Autre Chose association was founded in late 2007 out of a desire to create a welcoming space—a place of unconditional hospitality—to strengthen local social ties and combat exclusion.

Certified as a Social Living Space by the CAF, Tout Autre Chose is also a community café and restaurant.

Profits help fund social activities. Everything is homemade by our volunteer cooks using seasonal ingredients, all at affordable prices.

Our Programs 

French as a Second Language (FSL) classes: offered by level for adults to help facilitate their integration into daily life.

Academic support for elementary, middle, and high school students

Drop-in sessions for administrative assistance, computer literacy, and job search support during individual appointments

Cultural workshops: drawing, painting, singing, museum visits, weekend trips to the countryside... there’s a wide variety to choose from

A community café

Everyone is welcome at Tout Autre Chose. It is a welcoming, supportive, and friendly space for people who are isolated or facing difficulties, as well as a community café open to everyone.

For a coffee break, with a book, to play games, or just to chat.

In addition to being a friendly and unifying hub for the neighborhood, the café helps foster social and generational diversity.

The café is open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
