What is Le Moulin à Café?

Founded in 2006 in the Pernety neighborhood (14th arrondissement), the Moulin à Café is a community-based, socially responsible, and participatory café, run as a nonprofit with 9 employees, 100 volunteer residents, and 20 partner organizations. It is one of the first community-based, socially responsible, and participatory cafés in Paris.

Our goals: to build connections among residents, promote social, generational, and cultural diversity, and foster community solidarity.

Our initiatives are based on three pillars:

• - affordable, sustainable food
• - free access to culture
• - offering regular and varied activities (crochet, knitting, homework help, English conversation, etc.)
• - resident participation.

The Moulin à Café can be reserved for private events such as birthdays, private seminars, homeowners’ association meetings, and community events… 

The Moulin à Café is open Tuesday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.
