Lunch for 8 euros in the Marais—it’s possible! In the heart of Paris, just a short walk from the Saint-Paul metro station, lies one of the most affordable restaurants in the Île-de-France region: La Collective Parisienne.
As its name suggests, it’s a community café—that is, a nonprofit, community-run establishment designed to be a place for living, meeting others, socializing, and creativity.
Starting in January, La Collective Parisienne will introduce the concept of the “suspended coffee” and the “suspended meal”: in addition to your own meal, you pay for another one for a future customer who cannot afford it. La Collective Parisienne is all about community!
It is the third establishment of its kind in the Marais, alongside Notre Café, located in the courtyard of the Caserne des Minimes, and Le Troisième Café, adjacent to the Marché des Enfants-Rouges.
