Description

We have been working in the fields of professional urban agriculture and social engagement since 2016, with the goal of greening neglected (and other) spaces to co-create edible, welcoming, and functional landscapes with local residents.

We’ll help you build connections and grow vegetables in your spaces!

Who are we?

Founded in 2016, La Ferme en Chantier is a recognized and recommended leader in professional urban agriculture in Saint-Étienne. We are a nonprofit based in Saint-Étienne. La Ferme en Chantier aims to create shared, welcoming, and productive gardens and orchards on neglected or underutilized spaces. Our goals include strengthening social ties, promoting food self-sufficiency, and advancing sustainable development through community education initiatives.

Let’s create together:

educational gardens

A real garden inside or near a school to learn how to grow different types of vegetables and fruits, understand seasonality, soil, proper techniques, tools, and much more!!!

urban food-producing spaces

As part of a community-focused approach within a space—vegetable gardens, social gathering areas, local composting—for a social housing provider

neighborhood gardens

Right in the heart of the community, where residents can meet, share, learn, and enjoy food together!!!
