Description

The Ecogine.org association was founded on April 9, 2008. It was created by three students from Polytech'Nantes, an engineering school affiliated with the University of Nantes. Today, part of the website’s management has been entrusted to the “Pour les Enfants du Pays de Beleyme” Association. This environmental education association is based in the Dordogne

Easy to use

For you, everything is transparent; you simply use the search engine as you normally would, just as you would with any other search engine. The results are provided by Google France. The difference is that for every search performed on Ecogine, Google donates money to the Ecogine.org association. These funds are then redistributed to environmental organizations selected by internet users under a notarized agreement.

HD Wallpapers

Another unique feature of Ecogine.org is that it is the only search engine to offer high-definition photos as wallpapers, which brighten up your searches. These photos depict only landscapes or natural elements, with no visible human activity. Sometimes these photos showcase the work of a professional or amateur photographer.

Ethical and Eco-Friendly

Furthermore, to limit its environmental impact, Ecogine.org offsets the greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions generated by your searches. Each year, a portion of the revenue is thus redistributed to an offset organization that funds projects aimed at reducing GHG emissions caused by human activities.

Committed Hosting Provider

Finally, our hosting provider, O2Switch, meets strict requirements for adhering to sound environmental practices. Their environmental approach is available for review. They use electricity sourced exclusively from carbon-free sources. Data centers are minimally air-conditioned, prioritizing ventilation with outside air.
