Description

Mille et Une Récup: Recycling Center and Social and Professional Integration.

Our Mission

Mille et Une Récup is a nonprofit organization dedicated to reducing waste through a recycling center and assisting unemployed individuals facing challenges via a Social and Professional Integration Workshop and Project (ACI). The organization collects items that it repairs, recycles, or resells at low prices, thereby contributing to environmental preservation by preventing waste. At the same time, the Integration Workshop and Project offers training and work opportunities to people who are far from the job market, allowing them to develop professional skills and regain self-confidence.

The 4 functions of the recycling center

Collection

We collect, on a donation basis, your items, furniture, clothing, books, dishes… that you no longer use but are still in good condition. We offer a house clearance service based on a quote, as well as free home pickups.

Reuse

This involves sorting, inspecting, checking, cleaning, and, if possible, repairing certain items. It also includes basic disassembly to send items to recycling channels. At Mille et Une Récup, we have a bicycle repair shop and offer various services. Projects are underway, particularly regarding furniture restoration.

Sales

You can browse all kinds of items in our store and our online shops.

Awareness

We raise awareness about waste reduction and eco-friendly consumption through participation in various local events, drop-in sessions at the Gaillac recycling center, initiatives for the public, businesses, and communities, and on a daily basis by welcoming you to our premises.

Drop off your donations:

You can drop off your donations on Wednesdays and Fridays from 10:00 AM to 12:30 PM and 2:00 PM to 5:30 PM. We generally accept anything found in a home that is in good condition. For furniture donations, please call Bastien at 06-75-68-87-62 before coming in to confirm our storage capacity with him

The shop:

Come browse a wide selection of secondhand items Wednesday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and 2 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. non-stop. New items on the shelves every day!

Social and professional integration: our core mission

Our integration program employs 15 workers on integration contracts and 5 permanent employees on indefinite contracts. The goal is to support local job seekers in overcoming social barriers and developing their career plans.
