Difficulty level :
Energy poverty still affects 12 million people in France. With rising energy and rent costs, increasing financial insecurity, and 5 million energy-inefficient homes in our housing stock, more and more households cannot afford to heat their homes properly—or are spending a fortune to do so—with serious consequences for their health and their finances.
"Solidar’Toit supports tenants, owner-occupiers, and low- and very low-income landlords, in accordance with the criteria of the ANAH (National Agency for Housing Improvement) and their level of self-sufficiency, so that they may benefit from advice, guidance, and support in their efforts to overcome their precarious living conditions regarding housing, accessibility, energy, and sanitation."
3 Objectives:
Our initiative, which is innovative in the Deux-Sèvres region, consists of:
- For tenants, scheduling an appointment and conducting a home visit to review energy bills, the condition of the building and technical systems, as well as user behavior. Following this visit, recommendations are provided to occupants to help reduce their bills, and a visit report is completed and sent to the individual. Depending on the situation, contact may be made with landlords to raise awareness and advise them on improving their property.
- For owner-occupiers and/or landlords, the process can extend to the planning and oversight of a renovation project. As a Project Management Assistant (PMA), we serve as the primary point of contact for the various stakeholders involved in the project (ANAH, project manager, contractors, social workers, local authorities, etc.) until the work is completed and accepted. Our hands-on approach helps overcome administrative and financial obstacles.
