RDD is committed to leading and/or supporting all activities and projects that can make the neighborhood more attractive and pleasant.

The association is interested in all aspects of sustainable development: the environment, the social economy, social progress, culture, citizen participation, and international solidarity.

Over the course of its 10 years of existence, Rues du Développement Durable has also been involved in other community and citizen-led projects

• Shared or community gardens and/or projects to green public spaces
• Installation of community compost bins
• People’s University (“UniPopRoc”)
• Waste recycling and/or repair workshops
• Temporary takeovers of vacant lots (Place du Coq during the 2017 Design Biennale)

The association’s founders established a social investment company named “Crêt de Liens,” designed to acquire vacant properties in the neighborhood in order to lease them to economic or community-based activities that align with the association’s mission and its ethical charter.
