The association aims to bring together the residents of Pourrières to promote community initiatives that contribute to the village’s sustainable development, particularly through the creation and management of community gardens and the organization of events designed to foster social connections.
The municipality has made a 600 m² plot of land available to the organization through an agreement
Only residents of the town can join “Les Ortaliers.” And more and more of them want to get involved in gardening. “The garden consists of communal areas and individual 2-square-meter vegetable plots,” explained Lydia Repossi at the inauguration. “We want to foster sharing, the exchange of gardening practices, and mutual support among members. There are even people who have their own gardens who come here to meet other gardeners.”
Given the initiative’s success, the town hall is considering making additional plots available to residents of Pourrières
