Description

Et C’ Terra is a nonprofit organization recognized as being of public interest under the French Law of 1901, whose mission is to encourage reflection on the relationship between humans and their environment by promoting local, inclusive, and community-oriented initiatives.

Using cinema as a means of creation and popular dissemination; fostering partnerships and relationships with film schools, economic institutions, and community organizations; raising awareness among the public and public and private decision-makers about environmental protection; supporting all activities that promote a lifestyle respectful of the planet

Festival Overview

The "La Terre du milieu" Film Festival is a unique annual event in the Médoc region, inviting us to reflect together, through the lens of cinema, on how we live on this shared planet.

It showcases meaningful films addressing major ecological and social issues and highlights local initiatives.

In the lead-up to the festival, the “Ciné Débats des 4 Saisons” offers quarterly screenings followed by friendly discussions, to keep the conversation alive throughout the year and bring it closer to residents—people who might otherwise be excluded from public debates in this collective reflection.

Festival Objectives:

· Raise local awareness of environmental issues through a universal language: cinema.

· Strengthen social bonds by encouraging participation from everyone: children, seniors, residents in precarious situations, youth from the local mission, and people with disabilities.

· Encourage civic engagement by drawing on examples of initiatives carried out in the Médoc region or elsewhere.

· To educate by giving young people the tools to understand, express themselves, and become the leaders of tomorrow
