Since 2011, HISA has been working to conserve biodiversity. Both in France and abroad, our projects focus on protecting natural habitats, reforestation, reintroducing endangered wildlife, and developing and testing tools that promote coexistence between humans and wildlife.
Because HISA combats environmental degradation worldwide and helps shape a future and environments where humans can live in harmony with nature, all our projects are centered around three areas:
- Wildlife protection
- Promoting the sharing of natural spaces
- Preservation of aquatic environments
Our Achievements:
- Over 1,000 turtles rescued from poaching released into their natural habitat in Madagascar.
- 23 pilot farms protected from cat attacks on livestock in French Guiana.
- Over 100 herons and egrets rescued in Tanzania.
- Over 65 hectares reforested in Tanzania and the creation of a shared human-elephant forest based on agroforestry concepts.
