To help farmers adopt sustainable small-scale farming practices.

Cant’ADEAR was founded in 2007 by farmers in the Cantal region who wanted to adapt their farming practices in line with the principles of small-scale farming.

Its purpose is to support, within the Cantal region, the development of forms of agriculture that create jobs and have positive effects on the environment, as well as on the economic and social balance of farms and rural communities.

3 missions

• Supporting project leaders in setting up their operations and future farm owners in their succession plans. We particularly support the creation of small-scale farms focused on the local economy and environmental stewardship, and we develop specialized expertise to guide project leaders through gradual establishment processes and collective farm setups. We offer a map of land opportunities
• Support farmers in the technical evolution of their farming systems, within a framework of small-scale and sustainable agriculture (meetings, training, events, working groups, and individual support).
• Promoting small-scale farming and raising awareness among the agricultural community, citizens, and local governments.
