Fostering the green building network
Through its knowledge of industry stakeholders and its ability to mobilize support, ARPE continues to sustain and advance a movement that began 20 years ago. We organize meetings, site visits, and workshops… In addition to promoting healthy and sustainable housing among homeowners, we support professionals and project owners in their transition toward construction methods that are efficient, environmentally responsible, and long-lasting.
The Regional Association for the Promotion of Eco-Construction in Normandy is a non-profit organization recognized as being of public interest, which works to develop sustainable practices in the building industry, respecting the logic of living systems and the connections between humans and nature.
Supporting the development of eco-materials sectors
Bio-based and geosourced materials used in eco-construction offer numerous environmental benefits, particularly when they are locally sourced and minimally processed. Stone, straw, hemp, earth, reeds… Normandy possesses abundant resources that can be utilized in construction. To facilitate their use, the issue of structuring the supply chain is central. This is why we work daily with the entire chain of stakeholders and act as an intermediary.
Finally, scaling up requires a more robust and comprehensive regulatory framework. This is the focus of work being carried out by national networks in which ARPE is a key player.
Evolving Professional Practices
In a constantly evolving regulatory and technical context, construction professionals must continually adapt their practices. To support this skill development, ARPE offers training programs co-developed with its partner organizations.
Our training programs are designed for all professions in design, construction economics, project management, construction, and project ownership. They cover everything from material properties to how materials are integrated into a project and accepted by end-users. Customized modules tailored to your organization’s needs can also be created upon request.
Inform, Document, and Communicate
ARPE shares and produces reference resources on green building. Some of this documentation is freely available on our website.
We conduct extensive work to identify stakeholders and eco-built structures, which we then showcase through our mapping tools. These tools help meet the needs of public project owners and individuals seeking qualified professionals.
We share our news, that of our partners, as well as information gathered from national networks.
