The Mondeville City Hall welcomes us to its community by providing offices and a community hall in the Vallée Barrey neighborhood: La Vallée Sauvage!
This space, formerly a youth center, consists of a large room, a small kitchen, and outdoor areas.
Outdoor spaces mean a vegetable garden, chickens, a solar dryer, and eco-grazing set up by the city hall… The idea is to create a mini educational farm! Without pretension or the goal of production, but with the desire to discover and learn a little more together about the flora and fauna around us.
This place is also ideal for creating a community café together, hosting all kinds of activities and workshops, and organizing participatory projects… For now, we’re opening a tea room every Wednesday afternoon with workshops planned by the steering committee based on the interests of residents and partners, and we’re slowly getting started on small participatory projects (vegetable garden, chicken coop, solar dryer, painting…).
