For all ages: nature education to inspire a desire to protect nature

The Maison de la Nature et de la Pierre Sèche was founded in response to a pressing concern: our natural environment is deteriorating, and younger generations, having lost touch with the wilderness, risk being unable to enjoy a high-quality natural environment.
The Maison de la Nature et de la Pierre Sèche is a nature education organization dedicated to raising awareness about nature and inspiring a desire to protect it.

School groups

The activities offered by the Maison de la Nature et de la Pierre Sèche are interdisciplinary and allow for connections to be made with school curricula.

The Maison de la Nature et de la Pierre Sèche is accredited by the school district to conduct programs in schools.

During school activities, learning takes place in a hands-on way. Children engage with a space and make it their own in various ways.

Learning outdoors also allows children who have difficulty concentrating in the classroom to learn through movement.
After an initial introduction to the natural environment, children are less preoccupied with any fears they may have (spiders, snakes, etc.) and can enjoy the activities offered with peace of mind.

The Maison de la Nature et de la Pierre Sèche association offers about twenty nature outings each year.

Walks and talks on exploring the local natural environment.

Discovery workshops in the permaculture vegetable garden: adapting your vegetable garden to climate change, understanding natural soil fertility, discovering the wildlife associated with the vegetable garden…
