Le Garage Moderne is a hub for interaction and connection. Over the years, it has become a staple of the Bacalan neighborhood. It welcomes visitors from the local community and around the world. Through participatory workshops and events that promote diversity, social cohesion, and community life, it aims to foster a sense of togetherness.
It is a maker space that provides its members and the general public with the necessary resources to practice reuse, repair, and DIY, and to develop individuals’ skills.
The Auto Repair Workshop:
If you want to learn how to maintain your vehicle, the Garage Moderne auto workshop is for you! As a member, you can have your vehicle repaired or maintain it with the help of a Garage mechanic. Whether experienced or just starting out, our mechanics will guide you through your repairs with explanations tailored to your level of mechanical knowledge.
La Cantine du Garage is our community restaurant. Open Monday through Friday, it offers a unique, homemade lunch menu with meat or vegetarian options. Enjoy your meal on the terrace or inside our industrial cathedral.
La Cantine serves over 120 meals a week to people in extreme need.
Bike Repair Shop: The 100% Participatory
Repair Shop At Garage Moderne, our mechanics will assist you with your repairs, no matter your skill level!
We make our tools available to our members, and you’ll find most of the parts you might need on-site, in our new parts store and in our stock of reusable parts.
Hours (by appointment/walk-in): open Tuesday through Friday from 8:30 AM to 1:00 PM and from 2:00 PM to 5:30 PM
