Lou Neïssoun is an eco-community nestled in the heart of nature where people from all walks of life experiment with and share their knowledge of agroecology, eco-construction, and a simple, sustainable lifestyle. This collective fosters material self-sufficiency and personal growth, in a spirit of cooperation and harmony with the environment.

VISION: An eco-community nestled in the heart of nature, where people from diverse cultures and generations come together to share a resilient and regenerative way of life, based on agroecology, eco-construction, and inner ecology.

FOUNDING: The ecological project was founded in 2013 by a group of friends who came together to create a fertile and abundant space by planting a food forest and building ecological structures that are both productive and educational.

MEMBERS: A collective of 12 people of all ages, organized as an environmental education association, supporting individual and collective transitions toward ethical and sustainable lifestyles.

PROJECT: Lou Neïssoun is about twenty hectares of wild forest, with a few simple dwellings supplied by a pure spring, a nourishing vegetable garden, and a breathtaking view of the valley and the surrounding mountains.

AGRICULTURE: Our eco-community develops diverse agricultural activities combining vegetable gardening on living soil and fruit orchards managed with respect for ecosystems. Since 2022, we have been leading the first pilot project in syntropic agriculture in the Alpes-Maritimes, an innovative approach that is generating significant interest due to its potential for productivity, resilience, and sustainable practices. This experimental initiative holds great promise for revitalizing local agriculture while enhancing soil regeneration and biodiversity.

EDUCATION AND TRAINING: In line with our agricultural and ecological practices, we place a central emphasis on education and training. We regularly welcome young people who are discovering farm work and participating in collective activities such as vegetable gardening, cooking, or maintaining the property
