Since 2018, the team at Océan Protection France has been working tirelessly every day to raise awareness about the climate emergency and reduce plastic pollution on France’s beaches, starting with the Mediterranean, where it all began.
Our organization holds beach cleanups once or twice a month to clean the beach and the surrounding coastal areas. You can find the upcoming dates on our website as well as on our social media channels!
Who is it for?
Our activities are open to ANYONE WHO WANTS TO JOIN, with no restrictions! Whether you’re with family, friends, on your own, 5 or 75 years old, everyone is welcome!
Where and when?
Mostly along the Mediterranean coast for the Palavas chapter and along the Atlantic coast for the Gironde and Brittany chapters; one cleanup is organized each month
One of the association’s initiatives is beach cleanup through “walks for the sea” and sports activities. Indeed, the “act” of bending down to pick up trash aims to raise awareness among onlookers while also protecting the environment by immediately removing (with a simple gesture) plastic from nature. The goal is to leave the beach cleaner than when we arrived!
