The association L'Air des Lyonnais invites citizens to conduct observations and measurements using personal micro-sensors in order to provide detailed data to ATMO. In return, the association benefits from the expertise of engineers and technicians to interpret the measured air pollution levels and gain insight into the impact of specific phenomena.
L'Air des Lyonnaises et des Lyonnais is a non-profit organization established under the French Law of 1901; it is non-partisan and open to everyone. Its primary focus is to monitor air pollution levels in the Lyon region using data from the monitoring stations of the Observatoire Atmo Auvergne Rhône-Alpes, identify trends over the past 12 years, publish factual findings, and share this information with all residents of the Lyon metropolitan area.
Education is our second area of focus, and it helps encourage everyone to adopt best practices outdoors, in the workplace, and at home.
Our third area of action involves making requests and proposals to local, departmental, and regional institutions to ensure that air quality in the metropolitan area meets European standards and, above all, protects residents’ health.
