Description

The nonprofit association “Les Incroyables Comestibles en France” is the national organization dedicated to facilitating and supporting the development of the participatory citizen movement in France.

It oversees the management and coordination of the network, provides technical, educational, and financial support for the movement’s development, handles its communications and representation, and ensures the protection of the “brand” and the ethical charter in France.

Our mission

Through simple actions accessible to everyone, The Incredible Edibles seeks to promote urban and participatory agriculture by inviting citizens to plant wherever possible and to share their harvests.
By promoting the concept of the “nourishing city,” Les Incroyables Comestibles seek, in very concrete terms, to set in motion dynamics that will help communities move toward food self-sufficiency.

Our Actions

Our actions revitalize cities by transforming urban spaces into shared gardens, fostering greenery and community spirit

- Training: Designing and Developing an Incredible Edible Garden is a citizen-led, participatory training program designed to build knowledge about urban agriculture, discover interactive tools for leading a local group, and participate in workshops that blend personal experience with collective intelligence.

This training is led by Salomé Grasset, the movement’s coordinator, and Valentin Paploray, a trainer in nature management and conservation.

- Increduc: The Incredible Edibles movement in France is widespread, present in all regions and departments. Each local group carries out initiatives centered on creating and managing shared food-producing spaces. Some local groups also organize activities in schools within their area. They have each developed their own activities for students at different grade levels.

Objectives of the INCREDUC project:

To facilitate the sharing of experiences and the development of skills among local groups regarding school-based initiatives

Gather and create shared resources that can be shared and used by everyone

Design activities structured as educational pathways to engage schools in an environmental education approach through long-term challenges

Create an INCREDUC community to continue expanding the educational resources
